今回は、ガンズ・アンド・ローゼズの代表曲ともいえる、Welcome To The Jungleを紹介します。
今は、すっかりおじいさんになっているアクセル・ローズですがこのときは本当にセクシーです。
MVも見入ってしまいます笑(*^_^*)
アクセル・ローズのあのハイトーンボイスもいい感じに出ていて、この曲の魅力の一部ともなっています。
この曲を思いついたのは、ニューヨークで出会った、あるホームレス男性がきっかけだったとか。
ホームレス男性が、
“You know where you are? You’re in the jungle baby; you’re gonna die!
ここがどこかわかるか？ジャングルさ！お前たちは死ぬんだ！
と驚かせるためにいったのかわかりませんが、そう言ったそうです。
あと個人的に思うのですが、
「Feel my, my, my serpentine」の「serpentine」は
男性の下の部分だと思っています。なにしろ、serpentine砲という大砲が中世の武器として存在したそうで、それを男性の一部分として比喩表現として言っているのだと思います^^;
「俺の大砲を感じろよ」といった感じで、
下ネタといえば下ネタですね^^;
